DB Schenker acquires 49 % of NordCargo

NordCargo and Railion Italia may strenghten position in the Italian freight market.

The DB Schenker subsidary company, Railion Italia S.r.l. has obtained acceptance to acquire a 49 % stake in Milanbased NordCargo S.r.l. The deal is pending on approval from the responsible authorities.

NordCargo generated in 2007 revenues of Euro 34 million with 182 emplyees.
