Mergers and acquisitions often leave a company located in many places throughout a country or even the world. It can be hard to change a structure, from emotional reasons if not others. Anyhow, it is important to get all facts in the open and handle issues like, warehouse localisation, system needs, service levels, etc.

Transport
How to solve the distribution in best possible way? There are a number of approaches to fulfilling customer needs. Dependant on priorities there are different solutions. Short lead-times calls for a different solution than lowest possible cost. Schenker Consulting is among the most experienced in the trade when it comes to this.

Environment
So far, Logistics has been focused on timing, cost and service. With change focus in the world and of customers, focus of the logistics solutions also change. Last years Logistics have seen increased interest in factors as quality, environment and social responsibility, in addition to finance and service.

IS
Efficient logistics is more than an optimal flow of physical products. A swift information exchange between the parties in logistics change is as important. Schenker Consulting has great experience in IS-related projects in the logistics trade. We have managed a number of projects in e.g. EDI, Transport Administrative systems, OLF-systems and Internet/Intranet-solutions.

Training
To be prepared for the future, it is important to know what is up for discussion in the logistics trade. Schenker Consulting is managing training together with Silf Competence.
